THE REVIEW

A leap into the darkness in France of 1978. A daring somersault observing a new world and an enigmatic uncertain final destination.

"Uncertainty" fantastic keyword of every musical somersault, seductive.

Difficult to describe music without talking about music.

An oddly light hand seen through x-rays escaping between bricks, following crumbs of anarchy relative with all the healthy teeth of a rough and rowdy year that undoubtedly has infected the fleas to names apparently distant with new clothes of elegant cuts.

A path scented by the dissonant theories of Henry Cow, green unstable but soft paths of free Kraut thoughts, restrained electricity, echoes of lopsided little orchestras, little theaters with the irony of Fou Leloublan, costumes of Dagmar Krause.

Take these names, mix them trying to shape a new body, and you will get a mixture perhaps different from the one I tasted. This is the beauty of uncertainty without a parachute.

Seeing something different from what was glimpsed peaking from behind the curtain.

Listen to this music without following the paths I indicated, forget that I talked about music, and the final effect will be much more surprising.

Summary by Bot

Heratius' 'Gwendolyne' is a bold and uncertain musical journey through 1978 France, blending experimental prog with avant-garde and Krautrock influences. The album's complex and mysterious sound draws from iconic acts like Henry Cow and Fou Leloublan while carving its own distinct identity. The review hints at the difficulty of describing such eclectic music, inviting listeners to form personal interpretations beyond conventional expectations.
