Ok, "Aftertaste" is the last album of the original line-up of Helmet.
The military drumming by Steiner stands out and, in this album, more space is given to the bass sound. What distinguishes it from the previous and not very acclaimed "Betty"? The fact that "Betty" was a huge success set aside by many fans who I don't think even bought this CD, but perhaps the sonic wall that Helmet were and have now been by crafting this little masterpiece that is adaptable only to true metal-heads.
I believe it is the manifesto of the band's return to its origins. A must-have for anyone who believes in Helmet. Let's forget that they might return to these levels. It deserves the highest praise because it is the hardest and noisiest work by the New Yorkers.
