Hellwell is a project founded by Mark Shelton in 2010, presenting doom-influenced, horror-themed epic and progressive metal. Releases include Beyond The Boundaries of Sin (2011) and Behind The Demon's Eyes (2017).

Founded by Mark Shelton (of Manilla Road) in 2010. Hellwell is noted for keyboard use, NWOBHM passages and horror/supernatural lyrical themes. Mark Shelton died in 2018.

Harlan's review praises Mark Shelton's Hellwell project for its passion, variety and horror-themed epic/progressive metal. The 2017 album Behind The Demon's Eyes is highlighted for ambitious compositions and strong performances but criticised for thin production.
