Imaginary mathematical lines between sky and earth could be that album capable of reconciling many students with the much-dreaded high school physics.

Frankly, I wonder why no one talks about these young ones, because the potential to become the next big thing (what an ugly phrase in the hardcore context) in the Italian hc/screamo scene is all there. Formed in the capital in February 2010, these five guys take liberally from the repertoire of various bands like Raein, Fine Before You Came, and La quiete, also daring to invoke the masters Envy, taking the best from each.

In the best tradition of Italian DIY, the lyrics are very well-crafted, ranging from the most desperate lyricism to raw and painful realism. Rain, clouds, sighs, skinned knees, sunsets over the sea.

But how? They are called Heisenberg and they don't talk about matrix mechanics? Wrong, but not entirely. The references to the German Nobel laureate are present but veiled, as seen, for example, in "Meeting in Copenhagen," a track that draws inspiration from the famous meeting between Heisenberg and Bohr, but has little to do with science.

We are suspended between earth and sky, trapped in monotonous conversations from which nothing will be born, in the cold, prey to fears and palpitations, subjected to the inescapable mathematical laws.

Quantum physics has never been so fascinating.

P.S. The EP is available for free download from their bandcamp, and in these times it is like gold dust.
