Heaven & Hell was a band formed in 2006 by Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Ronnie James Dio and Vinny Appice. The group recorded The Devil You Know (2009) and released live material, touring in the late 2000s; the project ended after Dio's death in 2010.

Project formed from members of Black Sabbath's Dio-era; active 2006–2010; released the studio album The Devil You Know (2009) and the live album Live From Radio City Music Hall (2007); Ronnie James Dio died in 2010.

DeBaser reviews of Heaven & Hell center on the 2009 studio album The Devil You Know and live performances from the 2000s. Critics agree the musicianship (Iommi, Butler, Appice, Dio) is strong and the sound leans into doom/heavy territory. Opinions diverge on songwriting and vocals, with some seeing a worthy return and others disappointed. The live bootleg captures the reunion energy of the 2007 shows.

For:Fans of Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, classic heavy metal and doom metal listeners

Heaven & Hell (Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Ronnie James Dio, and Vinnie Appice - therefore 100% Black Sabbath despite the name change) finally release The Devil You Know: what is certainly the most anticipated album of the year in the rock-metal scene, and which has surely proven to be an excellent candidate to truly become the album of the year.
