"Harry is on Ford is an old friend you don't remember. Or perhaps you've never met. Harry is on Ford is an old record, recorded in the mild autumn of 2008 and never released." A romantic and mysterious introduction to what is effectively a project little is known about, Harry Is On Ford. Something born as a game (just think of the band's name to understand how much lightheartedness is behind it all), left to age for a few years in a drawer and resurfaced only today, for who knows what reason. Harry Is On Ford is not the classic rock band crowding store shelves, but rather an acoustic project with all the attributes needed to earn its place in the sun. Let's start with the main factor: having a voice that can draw attention to itself with melodic tones that don't become boring after a few listens. This element is present. A few songs that can be listened to in a climate of absolute relaxation and, why not, pleasure. In this case too, it’s there. To close the circle, we find Olly Riva (Shandon, The Fire) who, in the role of producer, has placed every card where it belongs, giving "regularity" to a great piece of work. These Harry Is On Ford are pretty clever, it's useless to deny it — keeping a record in the works for years and releasing it just when acoustic rock is back in fashion is a master's stroke — but despite this, you have to admit it, they know what they're doing. And it goes without saying that within their lyrics, they shift from personal situations to more frivolous ones; the pleasure of this album is the relaxed atmosphere that gets inside you, something at first glance we might define as perfect for this Christmas period. Given the uniqueness of this offering, it seems rather out of place to recommend it to a specific listening audience; simply, if you don't disdain this type of offer, give a chance to this self-titled debut, you certainly won’t be disappointed.
