Nelle Harper Lee (1926–2016) was an American novelist best known for To Kill a Mockingbird (published 1960), which won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1961.

Author of To Kill a Mockingbird (1960). Winner of the 1961 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. A later manuscript, published as Go Set a Watchman, appeared in 2015. Born Nelle Harper Lee (1926) and died in 2016.
