The Profile

German krautrock supergroup formed in 1973 in Forst by Michael Rother (Neu!, ex-Kraftwerk) with Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Moebius (Cluster). They released Musik von Harmonia (1974) and De Luxe (1975), collaborated with Brian Eno in 1976, and reunited for shows in 2007–2009.

Members: Michael Rother, Hans-Joachim Roedelius, Dieter Moebius. Origins: Forst, Germany. Associated acts: Neu!, Cluster, Kraftwerk, Brian Eno. Key albums: Musik von Harmonia (1974), De Luxe (1975). Reunion performances included All Tomorrow’s Parties in 2008.

Two glowing reviews celebrate Harmonia’s cosmic minimalism and melodic drive. Musik von Harmonia is framed as hard to define yet essential, even cited by Brian Eno. De Luxe is praised as visionary, hypnotic, and monolithically kraut. Expect synth constellations, motorik undercurrents, and space-time detours.
