Good morning.

This is my first review, and I will introduce myself. I am Mohammed, and I come from Morocco, but I have been living in Italy for a few years.

The single I will describe to you is quite famous in my country of origin because it is the first example of Moroccan rap. I am talking about "Issawa Style", a rap song by the group H-Kayne based in the city of Meknès and founded in 1996. But let's get to the song.

It is a splendid fusion between verses rapped in perfect hip-hop style, which talks about the pride of young boys belonging to their nation, and traditional Moroccan music: typically North African instruments like drums (bendir) and a sort of lute that my grandfather used to play: the gambri. But in perfect rapper style, there is the rhythmic base provided by the DJ. Note the interesting chorus that showcases the warm and typically North African voices of my heroes.

So remember the names of four young guys who will make their way in the big world of musical work: Adil, Azeddine, Othman, and Hatim.

Goodbye, or as we say where I'm from, Ma a Salama!!!
