The Gronge are a strange musical expression, and between the 80s and 90s an inspiration for many groups and subgroups of the Italian scene.
In particular, this demo produced for amen prod. is truly intriguing because electronica-techno-punk-industrial merge into a single mixture. Starting from the first song "Regolamento di condominio" harsh and shattering with a tormented text, sounds akin to the psycho-pop of Devo and the destructive sonic maze of the more gruesome Pankow (electrodark). The second track "Taglio frontale" is another great piece because it also includes and above all nihilistic tendencies, for Italy one can speak of similarities with something from the early Neon or sounds akin to the Tuscan scene of the early 80s, although less layered.
The third and last track "Frutti finti" is a puzzle of all these unique and hardly imitable influences. Among the lyrics, I remember some passages "black mass that compresses our brains", "the fear of having the black beast inside".
