After the disappointing "Warning" by "Green Day" in 2001, they released a best of collection of all their 4 previous albums (Dookie, Insomniac, Nimrod, and Warning).
"International Superhits" starts with 2 new tracks "Maria" and "Poprocks and Coke", which both prove to be very energetic from the first second. From track 3 to 7, the songs from "Dookie" appear (the best Green Day album with about 16 million copies sold worldwide), including the famous "Basket Case" and the energetic "When I Come Around".
The 8th song (J.A.R.) was written by bassist "Mike Dirnt" and, in my opinion, he writes better than Billie Joe Armstrong (Vocals and Guitar). From track 9 to 13, there are 5 pop-punk tracks from "Insomniac," including the fast-paced "Jaded" and "Stuck With Me." From number 14 to 17, it's "Nimrod's" turn (The Best Green Day Album for Me), featuring amazing songs like "Hitchin A Ride" or the melancholic "Good Riddance".
I was surprised not to find tracks like "The Grouch" or "Prosthetic Head" among these, which are present in "Nimrod" from 1997. The CD concludes (18-21) with the album less punk-rock "Warning," from which I would only save "Minority," enjoyable and very catchy with a harmonica played by Billie. Certainly, "Green Day" is not the best band in the world, but this "Best of" suggests that they have done a lot and will do even more. (At Least We Hope) Rating 4/5
