I want to start with a statement that will probably undermine this review of mine: I find it absurd that the best Italian hardcore album ever made is currently stuck between cult status and oblivion, and that no one bothers to reissue it. The album concludes at a blistering speed of just 13 minutes, during which passion oozes from every riff, the rhythm section creates continuous vortices, inventing breaks and offbeats that make you doubt the pattern is in 4/4, and the singer, through metaphors and the use of sophisticated concepts, vomits continuous anthems to fight the filth surrounding us with his tormented voice. Originating from Trento, they produced this masterpiece in 2001. The information about the band available online is scarce and poorly detailed, and having discovered the album posthumously, I am unable to provide references on what the distribution of the product was like. I challenge anyone to play hardcore better than this. The Italian scene, since the '80s, has been comprised of fantastic bands recognized worldwide.... it is well-known that from 1981 to 1984, no one in the world played hardcore like in Italy. In the '90s, the national territory was teeming with entities that did not have the same international success but are still idolized by genre enthusiasts to this day. From my point of view, in the face of all this musical wealth born in our nation, any band pales in comparison to the debut album of Grandine. The album is not valued on the market, but it is difficult to find. An intervention is urgently needed.
