"Laika Come Home," or when commercial endeavors become a failure both in terms of sales and quality. Just one year after the release of the excellent "Gorillaz," this trio of "space monkeys" reinterprets the work of the virtual band by adding tight bases, dark atmospheres, horns and brass, reggae vocals.

What emerges is a long and boring dub mishmash. Some songs (?!) taken individually wouldn't be bad ("Jungle Fresh," "Strictly Rubbadub," "Mutant Genius") but overall, which is also scarce, they clash and offer no respite to the unfortunate listener. The Arabian dub version of "Clint Eastwood" is then about the worst today's music can produce; in short, the entire Gorillaz album is flattened, and even the fans have smartly boycotted the record.

I'm sorry, but on "Laika Come Home" there is really little to say... Singles extracted: "Lil' Dub Chefin'."
