When a side project surpasses the main project: why not continue?
So Damon Albarn and company engage in some remixes and rarities following the multi-million selling album "Gorillaz". The remix version of "19-2000" is nice, having already been "seen" accompanying the video. I can't say the same for "Clint Eastwood", which loses the polish of the original version in its "Life Cypher" version, a queen of videos and commercials.
I also like "Rock the House" and "Dracula". The rest, well, you can't really expect much from an album of remixes and "B" or "G" sides. It's good for collectors and fans of Albarn's nasal voice.
Maybe it's time to return to the good old Blur, who in my opinion will be remembered far more than the Oasis.
Even a thirtysomething like Albarn can come up with ideas when he puts his mind to it.
Let's hope.
