The Goreinhaled are a band from the brutal death metal underground scene coming from Spain, a land notoriously unproductive in the field of extreme metal, and precisely for this reason, I focused my attention on this band, to test their potential. The Goreinhaled are a trio of musicians relatively new to the music business (their debut "Fetus In Fetu" dates back to 2004) and can surely be considered an excellent band that can continue along the path undertaken by brutal death metal in recent years. The genre I would categorize them in is essentially brutal death metal seasoned with short and fairly melodic solos, the real outbursts are quite contained even though they almost always play with double bass, except for some fairly groovy slowdowns, where the band's songwriting prowess is evident as they are capable of varying their proposal and their sound texture, the tracks are on average short, around 3 minutes in length.

The peculiarity of this band is the growl, essentially based on a monotonous singing that recalls the early brutal days but occasionally launches into extreme guttural sounds typical of ultra brutal death metal (some vocal virtuosity may remind you a bit of both the old school devourment and brodequin). Essentially, however, I consider this band a canonical brutal death metal band, that plays good death metal, unfortunately the main flaw is the almost absence of bite regarding the sound of the bass (really barely present and inaudible, overwhelmed by the sound of the other instruments). The tracks all travel on a fairly good average, there are no major drops in tone nor great surges to shout a miracle, anyway, it's a CD that can be easily proposed and displayed in one's personal discography without shame.

I've been listening to this CD for about ten days now and I still haven't memorized the tracks, which means that in addition to having quite intricate rhythms despite the short total length of the full length, they are not even memorable tracks that scream masterpiece. In short, a good band to listen to repeatedly in the first week or ten days and then also to appreciate as background music, certainly they are not making bad music. Therefore, I recommend listening to it carefully and assessing the quality of this CD yourself, for me the rating swings between three and four stars. A three and a half would be the most suitable rating.

Recommended for those who want to test the Spanish brutal death scene and also own a well-played and well-produced canonical brutal death CD, with a nice cover, and with all the lyrics inside the booklet so you can read them. Even if the themes dealt with are fairly overused because they are gore-themed and talk about violence and murders, nothing new indeed. Worth a try.
