This time I'll start from the end: the rating for this album is 4 and a half, which in my house means that we're approaching masterpiece territory...
You start off well, actually very well; imagine EDDIE VEDDER's cousin (so with a similar voice to his) singing something close to COME TOGETHER (yes, that one by THE BEATLES), serve him LOSER by BECK and the result will be GET MILES, a perfect single.
MAKE NO SOUND already hints at a masterpiece, 78 STONE WOBBLE, which in the riff reminds one of PLATEAU, is irresistible.
It's time to get emotional: TIJUANA LADY is a melancholic epic complete with the sound of a needle on vinyl, it certainly doesn't make you miss the more acoustic PEARL JAM, HERE COMES THE BREEZE is an ocean sunset.
LOVE IS BETTER THAN A WARM TROMBONE (yes, but it depends on the type of trombone!) and GET MYSELF ARRESTED inaugurate the corner of BLUES, the most battered and ironic one.
In FREE TO RUN, PEARL JAM are back in force with E. CLAPTON passing by by chance... ENOUGH! There are still three songs left...

But the album is not just good... maybe it deserves a bit more... 5? Yes, exactly 5.
