Welcome to the Goldfrapp atelier!
The two musical designers, musician Will Gregory and vocalist Alison Goldfrapp, have crafted 11 new sonic outfits for us. In this new collection, we find psychedelic cuts with a glamorous twist, sonic-pop stitches, electroclash hints, mischievous details, exciting and sexy colors... the collection, as a whole, is acidic and psychedelic, bold and classy.
But let's take a closer look at the 11 outfits.
Ooh La La opens the show; edgy and shrill, Alison's "vocal hand" delights and showcases all its facets... Outfit: Kitsch.
Lovely 2 C U electric and distorted touch with a luminous background... for me, the best outfit. Outfit: Urban jogging.
Ride A White Horse vaguely retro, definitely mischievous. Outfit: High-necked in front, deeply low-cut in the back.
You Never Know shrill, Alison penetrates us with her warblings. Outfit: Jeans and t-shirt with glam glasses.
Let It Take You melancholically recalls rainy days, reflective, intimate. Outfit: Raincoat.
Fly Me Away light, ironic, carefree, with delicate synth-pop touches. Shoes: Pistachio green sneakers.
Slide Me bold, sexy, and provocative with a magnetic and digital cut. Outfit: Silver silk slip.
Koko psychedelic, caressed by Alison's voice more ethereal than ever. Outfit: Pleated and fluttery miniskirt.
Satin Chic irreverent and mocking with honky-tonk piano strokes. Hat: Straw hat with a red polka dot band... chic!
Time Out OF The World delicate and romantic, dreamy and orchestral. Outfit: Evening gown.
Number 1 slightly disco, bright and glossy. Outfit: Flared pants.
Here is the Goldfrapp collection, completely reinvented compared to the previous two ("Felt Mountain" and "Black Cherry"). Get ready now to listen to and wear one of the most beautiful electro (glam, synth, psychedelic...) - pop works of recent years.
"There is no turning back on what has been, in fact, the path the beauty seems to be on is increasingly that of the ‘80s glam clubs."
"Her voice reaches really remarkable peaks, mixing mysterious melancholy and mystical exaltation not devoid of touching femininity."
Supernature is a bold mix of all the “good” part of pop: tributes to past decades executed without too many harmful shakes.
Ooh La La is a powerful retro-robotic dance piece perfectly suited to runways and glitter.
