LA RECENSIONE

Justin Broadrick is an incredible visionary, with a crystal-clear talent and a career unfortunately not commensurate with his merits.
On this site, infested with very young people listening to early crude metal, a group like Godflesh could do nothing but elevate the minds and imagination of: FUCK FUCK, KILL KILL, DEVASTATIOOOON!.

In this case, it is a record that seeks to be the farewell to the scene for Godflesh, revisiting an old EP from 1994 released simultaneously with the historic "Selfless".
Godflesh's music has quietly and subtly marked the growth of the most radical industrial scene, staying out of the "in" crowd and refusing to write catchy melodies for the mainstream.
Justin Broadrick and Peter Green have always been adepts of schizoaffective expression in art, making listening to their work feel like prolonged hospitalization in a psychiatric ward.
There are alternating Ministry-like charges with more noisy moments, where dissonances take the lead, creating a kind of unhealthy and burning noise that will be found in Broadrick's subsequent creature: Jesu.

Let's not forget that the creator of this work also founded Napalm Death, significantly contributing to the flourishing of extreme music in England.
For those who want to rediscover them and understand what lies in industrial culture beyond N.I.N, this is for you...
Visionary and disturbing.

Godflesh

Godflesh is an English industrial metal band formed by Justin Broadrick after his early involvement with Napalm Death, with bassist G. C. Green as the other core member. Known for crushing, repetitive riff structures and frequent use of drum machines, the band’s catalog spans stark early industrial metal, later experiments with dub/electronics and occasional live drumming, and a well-received reunion period beginning in the 2010s.
