Goblin began as a progressive rock group and were originally called Oliver and released an album as Cherry Five. They were launched into film soundtrack prominence through collaborations with director Dario Argento (notably Deep Red and Suspiria). In recent years there have been disputes and multiple lineup variations; Claudio Simonetti fronts Claudio Simonetti's Goblin while this release uses the name Goblin Rebirth. The live double CD Goblin Rebirth Alive was issued by Black Widow and is available in several formats including limited vinyl and DVD.
