THE REVIEW

ITALIAN MUSIC, GLI ORSI

There is also some good Italian music, and for those like me who always search among "the lesser-known," there is a lot of beautiful music to discover.

Gli Orsi is a group from Romagna that might be little known, but I've had the fortune of seeing them live at least a dozen times, and I find them very interesting.

It's almost cinematic music, descriptive, sometimes it follows Parisian impressionism; it’s autumnal listening, rooted in traditional Italian music, sounds with migrating nuances, it’s dreamlike, poetic, it could be the perfect soundtrack for a road movie, at times it has the melancholic cheerfulness of Fellini.

Their albums are small productions, hidden treasures waiting to be discovered.

Ps. In searching for their material online to share, I realized there isn't much available, so I'll leave something in the comments and here I’ll point out their website in case anyone is interested.

Happy listening.
