A bit poet, a bit storyteller, a bit dreamer...

Giulio Casale (formerly leader of Estra) tells his story certainly drawing inspiration from 'La Crus' but managing to make this music his own (as I like to define it) poetic/alternative/singer-songwriter without copying too much but simply getting inspired as much as needed and as is appropriate.

The 13 songs on "In fondo al blu" have that flavor of nostalgia, love but also bitter irony as we can hear in the ninth track, "Sbarre sui denti" which vaguely recalls the old school of 'Giorgio Gaber' also thanks to the magnificent artistic participation of actor Roberto Citran portraying the slightly confused Italian facing certain laws in our beautiful country; in "So che non so" Giulio lays himself completely bare, talking about himself, his days and his future; "Ora o mai più", one of the most touching songs, is an invitation to dive fearlessly into life and rediscover its splendor, while "L'uomo col futuro di dietro" (the single of the album) is a narrative song, hopeful and dreamy at the same time, very relaxing and delicate.

The semi/acoustic "All I want to be" is the only song in English while the bonus track "Il caso di uno vicino a se stesso" is the only song more rock and also one of the most successful. These are the artists that people should listen to because they are the ones who know how to deliver true emotions with true words without falling into the banal, the vulgar, or the "Sanremo style".

Long live music that comes from the heart! Long live Giulio Casale! Long live labels like Artes Records!
