This is a really bad movie, released in 2017, directed by Giovanni Veronesi who has made a lot of bad movies, none good, but this one is really bad.

Two young people are frustrated with their Italian life, one is poor, the other is rich but they are true friends. They have a dream, to emigrate to Cuba, mainly because people there are poor so they can live well with little money. They want to open a beach club, which is not very original, but with wi-fi, which is scarce in Cuba, now that is original, after all, they are young. The poor one (who in truth dreams of becoming a writer) borrows twenty thousand euros from his father, a newsagent from Puglia, Sergio Rubini (the rich one does not have a good relationship with his rich father, of course) and off they go to immerse themselves in a sea of prejudices, shallow dialogues but with a piano underneath, all arpeggios that move you and in the end, poor people are the best, then sure the rich friend starts doing underground fighting (I swear) and they argue and get swindled by the cunning Cuban but then you see these Cubans are nice people, sure it would be nice if they got a bit civilized, they don’t even have wi-fi, but come on the good old things, oh my dear we were poor but happy and then for no reason a trans person says to the protagonist "do you want me to screw you?" "pardon?" "screw?" and then the never-failing joke "why do I have to take it because I'm Italian?" and then cut, acoustic guitar, sunsets over the sea and deep phrases. Seriously, just like that, in this order.

Giovanni, you need to set a limit, you can't keep doing damage like this. The only positive note is Nino Frassica who knows how to play Nino Frassica very well and is great and anyone who says otherwise is lying knowingly.

Veronesi retire, Veronesi you’re ruining cinema, the Tuscans have ruined Italy, Veronesi you're not funny, you don't move people, you can't tell a story, you can't direct, you're a mediocre failure, Veronesi you're lousy.
