Fun music, national-popular, that's what real music is. Gigi is great, imagine that he composed his first song at 5 years old and at 9 he passed the SIAE exam while all those boring guys like De Gregori, De André, or whoever you like at 9 years old didn't even know how to hold a guitar.
This is the album that will make the great Gigi known to everyone (there's nothing to say, Finizio is the greatest artist we've ever had in Italy) and this extraordinary work proves it: pleasant music, rhythmic, never boring or convoluted, some might say it's for the common people but it's the very common people who buy records, not the boring intellectuals. A great album, as I was saying, features some classics of Italian music in the tracklist: "Mare d'inverno" and especially "Ti cercherò" (authentic poetry: "I will search for you among the indifferent people crossing the street of a metropolis or among the women who spend the whole night in the brewery where even my soul gets lost").
Also worth mentioning is the sad "Erotic line" about the spread of erotic lines, and the classic Neapolitan ballads (wonderful) "Na camicetta blu", "Nun te spusà". And the very sensual "Inferno", read the lyrics (chilling): "And that child growing up already hated you, realizing that the mother was his father and the ghost of the thunder can wake up".
Great Gigi, you are the best of all: brilliant music without being unnecessarily complex. We fans always support you, those who don't understand can keep their mental wanking with clear names: Pink Floyd, Genesis, Battiato, Guccini, Frank Zappa. We are simple, they are just fake radical-chic, insignificant snobs.
