Oh yes! This great (artist) was missing a live performance, and he even included the heart in the title, but in reality, you need guts to listen to it!! We're talking about yet another piece of garbage by Gigi D'Alessio, (unfortunately, he's not the only one) performed in Piazza del Plebiscito amidst a sea of music lovers. The D'Alessio phenomenon was skillfully crafted like many whining Neapolitan neomelodic singers; it starts with weddings, meets the record boss, then the natural one (financing is needed), takes the king of illiterate lyrics, a certain D'Agostino who writes for D'Alessio, does a bit of advertising for a party that distributes contracts with Italians, waits for the right moment, and it's done!! Invitations to Rai tamurriate and so on. Then the rest takes care of itself—he could sell even to a mute in this increasingly ignorant Italy! So our hero goes on, storing up for harder times, in this album special guests, as well as poor fallen ones, I mention Lucio Dalla who shifted from De Gregori of Banana Republik to the squalid D'Alessio theater! All extras in the presence of his majesty who doesn't miss a chance to badmouth colleagues like Pino Daniele, who has also declined but certainly cannot be compared to someone like D'Alessio.
Do we want to talk about the songs on this album?? There's not much to say, horribly written songs, elementary school-level lyrics, clichés, the usual vomit-worthy love stories, all in all for the new generation allergic to good music. But in the end, this is what the audience wants, and they can hold onto it tightly. Those who love real Music will reserve a place for D'Alessio and his album where it belongs, in the trash.
