I have to move and the idea comes to me to copy my old CDs onto my PC. In the row of CDs in my wardrobe I always put the latest ones on the left, so I start right there, and the work is quite tedious. But little by little, as I move to the right, things get more interesting; days go by and it's no longer a routine job but becomes fun, becomes a discovery, especially when I come across the first album of the American band Giant, Last Of The Runaways, from 1989, the AOR manual, but also of Hard Rock. How could I have forgotten it? Dan and David Huff, Alan Pasqua, and Mike Brignardello who, at the end of the '80s, gave us one of the best albums of the period. Sure, it sounds a bit old, a genre that is no longer in vogue. But now that I listen to it again, after a rest period of at least 10 years, it's like hearing a record just released, centered around that great musician Dan Huff and his rocky guitar sounds interspersed with fantastic solos, and Alan Pasqua's keyboards never in the background and not getting lost in unnecessary solos. I could also describe each individual song one by one, but the best thing for a fan of the genre is to try to get this album and listen to it all in one go. Because it's already bad not to have it, but persisting is even worse! And to think that the Giant released another 2 albums later which in some ways are better than this one. Interested?
