Who as a child, with a smirk beneath future mustaches, didn't ask the unsuspecting ice cream lady for tiramisù the banana with a kiss? Who hasn't watched "Mai dire TV"? Who wouldn't have wanted to be the prey of a horoscope fanatic? Who didn't use cult words like "Fiki Fiki" or "Ciulli Ciulli" to blatantly hit on a hot chick?

Gianni Drudi is fixated on everything related to the mildly naughty universe of sex; in his small way a legend, following in the footsteps of the various trash songwriters of the '90s: thick hair, flashy shirt, denim jacket, and guitar slung over his shoulder as if he were an American star, in every song he offers us pearls dropped in the sphere of a 1990s TV pop indeed. Made famous by the show "Mai dire TV", to which he dedicates a song, humorously cursing the Gialappa's band, he is the author of hits such as "Fiki Fiki", of which we can hear the Spanish version here, and "Ciulli Ciulli"; songs that convey the desire to throw oneself carefreely between beaches and butts.

Seriously speaking, Drudi's singing at times recalls the intonations of Zucchero; each song is born in a fun, summer, jovial setting, see "Come è bello lavarsi", a list of places that rhyme with body parts, skillfully censored, more intimate to hydrate. "Me tira" reminisces Baccini's "Vendo tuto", "Ma che cazzo dici?" has a story and interpretation in Buscaglione's style, with Francesco Salvi's audacity; and here comes "Tirami su la banana...", a close cousin of "Gelati" by the Skiantos. "Melodia" flows on the piano and the sentimental singing akin to Fausto Leali, but if you break the word into three parts, it reveals the typical humor of Elio e le storie tese. Freak Antoni's style is also recalled in the list of zodiac signs of the legendary "L'oroscopata".

Young terminologies and double entendres, the trash history of the '90s was made by these characters, who made us more outgoing and flirty and finally allowed us to approach the fair sex with phrases like: "madame or mademoiselle, voulez vous l'usel?"
