"Shining Star" by Get Far, a production by dj Fargetta, has been a big hit this summer in the dance-house realm and has dominated countless Italian clubs.

Even though I don't care much for the genre, which I find cold and "automated," the single is, in my opinion, very enjoyable and well-made, suitable for nightlife venues without being monotonous and obsessive: the sung melody is catchy and memorable, the production is meticulously crafted and quite rich in effects, and the "instrumental" parts and electronic basses are well-balanced. There are different versions of the track, although to be honest, they are not very different from each other, except for some arrangement details.

This review is a brief insight to comment on a track that has garnered significant attention in the industry, and which I find, as a non-enthusiast of the genre, more refined than many other contemporary dance productions that often resort to "pounding".

Looking forward to your comments....
