THE REVIEW

Sam, you’re back...how I've missed you these past two years...

Two years since the previous "The Chronicles Of A Bohemian Teenager", which with its delicate mix of acoustic, songwriting, and electronics received many praises from the critics across the Channel. And from me, right here on DeBaser.
And this album, more of a brother than a sequel to "Chronicles", confirms the talent and sensitivity of this artist unjustly unknown here in Italy.
Undisputedly stand out the only carefree and poppy track of the lot, "Waiting For The Monster To Drown", and simultaneously "Better Things", in which an acoustic guitar and a duet with Kate Nash give life to an unusually dark and evocative ride that cannot leave you indifferent. And the rest is no less, even if initially inevitably less striking than the two tracks just mentioned: the guitar riff of "Window Of Your Mind" would make even a block of marble feel melancholy, the chorus of "Young And Lovestruck" you will hardly get out of your head, the crescendo of "Could've Seen It All" is majestic...

 Listen to it.
