Gendrickson Mena - "All I missed"

Produced by Rai Trade, it is the second album by the well-known Cuban trumpeter.

An evolution from the first album, both technically for the quintet and spiritually for the composer, "All I missed" is an album full of energy, rhythm, and good taste. A mix of Latin jazz, fusion, and funky with very particular sounds thanks to the rhythm section of Giorgio di Tullio and Ezio Salfa and the volcanic trumpet of the group leader, Gendrickson, who is the composer and arranger of the tracks contained in the CD.
The sax of Mauro Capitale deserves credit for adding a modern touch to the tracks, while the piano of Mario Zara contributes the poetry which would otherwise be missing, except here and there with the flugelhorn, poetry that can be fully savored in the track "All I Missed", a touching ballad that gives the title to the entire CD.

Presented at the BlueNote in Milan in January, it received significant acclaim from both the audience and critics, even though this musical genre was more popular in the '80s.

The tracks included in the CD "All I Missed": 1. From Milan to New Orleans (G. Mena) 2. Mind Your Step (G. Mena) 3. Song For Giulio (G. Mena) 4. En Ravenna (G. Mena) 5. A Kiss Forever (G. Mena) 6. Para Ti Chet (G. Mena) 7. My Jungle (G. Mena) 8. All I Missed (M. Fait - G. Mena) 9. Volando (G. Mena) 10. Funky For Gio (G. Mena)
