THE REVIEW

The GattuZan project was born in Foligno in the summer of 2011 from an idea by Andrea Tocci (vocals) and Federico Elia Marchetti (guitar - vocals). The duo composes and records a significant number of songs in homemade quality, and in the summer of 2012 decides to expand the lineup by enlisting Alessio del Rosso (bass - vocals), Lorenzo Possanzini (synth - vocals), and Rinor Marku (drums).
In March 2013, the promo video for "Jackie Boy" was released, directed by Nicola Ambrogioni in the Free Republic of Frigolandia (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3qL5Vr-iRE)

In just one year of activity, the band manages to write and arrange a powerful debut double album recorded in February 2014 at Igloo Audio Factory by Andrea Sologni of Gazebo Penguins, capturing the attention of the Umbrian public, thrilling them with exotic rhythms, irresistible melodies, and an overwhelming impact in their numerous live shows in the area, through which the band self-finances the work completely independently. In the summer of 2014, Filippo Ciccioli replaces Federico Elia Marchetti.

The GattuZan are nominated as "Best Arezzo Wave Band Umbria 2015" and then selected for the well-known EUROPAVOX festival (Clermont-Ferrand), where they share the stage with Hey Moon Shaker, MOURN, and Placebo.

The band continues to perform throughout the summer in various areas of Italy and records in collaboration with Federico Brizi (Jap Perù) the two singles "Ringor Snai" and "Olengo," paving the way for the second studio work scheduled for fall 2016.

"Dolcevita" is released by Astio Collettivo and contains the best episodes of the total production composed for this album, which counts about 90 pieces.

A marvelous hodgepodge, a stream of consciousness in sounds that sweeps through every genre; lo-fi punk, pop, psychedelia, indie, alt and more...

32 tracks, a double album.

The result? cultural terrorism in lo-fi pop.
