The eighth album by Gatto Panceri "Passaporto" is a beautiful album. This verdict is absolutely mandatory.

After listening to the first single "E' solo musica," a song with a great rhythm and a chorus that gets stuck in your head immediately ("Lo vuoi? Io si! Tra noi è solo musica."), I couldn't resist buying the album. There was no surprise for me; Gatto Panceri delivers a very fine album, well-crafted with lyrics that evoke a thousand emotions and are never trivial.

With each listen, "Passaporto" surprises you with its quality, a quality that is evident from the arrangements to the lyrics. Gatto's lyrics, besides being very profound, manage to transform into choruses that never verge on the banal. The style remains unmistakable, original, and clear. In short, I place this album on the same level as "Stellina" from 1997 (my favorite album by the Lombard artist). My favorite song from this work is undoubtedly "Ruvida," which was later chosen as the second single. "Ruvida" is a song with a riff and chorus that are highly enjoyable to listen to. The lyrics are delightful: "Fuori ma che freddo fa! Ho la pelle ruvida." I also greatly appreciated "Se questo è vivere" and "Gioia", but the entire album flows in a smooth, fluid, and pleasant manner.

In short, Gatto, we can only hope you never lose the desire to give us emotions.
