Born in Belfast (1952), Gary Moore was a Northern Irish guitarist and singer active from the late 1960s until his death in 2011. He played in and with acts such as Thin Lizzy and collaborated with artists including Jack Bruce; he is widely known for blues-rock albums like Still Got the Blues. He owned Peter Green's Les Paul ('Greeny') and sold it in 2006 (later associated with Kirk Hammett). Moore died of a heart attack in Spain on 6 February 2011.
