Indisputably a good job, the EP with which Fuckvegas made their debut.
There are four of them and they really make a lot of noise!! Fans of the genre will surely not be disappointed when buying "Fuckfuckvegas," a work where the name of Giulio Favero (ODM, Teatro degli Orrori, P.U.T.I.F.E.R.I.O) emerges, who, besides recording the tracks, joined the group by playing guitar in "Drop A Line."
The album often features sharp sounds, accompanied by very powerful rhythmic sections and nuances made of electronics and synths. The voice fits perfectly, which I believe has an excellent tone and is angry just right. The tracks, despite having a common thread that ties them together, are nonetheless different from each other, and this is certainly something to appreciate..
"Fu" is the track that "opens the dances"... it's the classic riff that "enters" your head, and you immediately want to play it, and while you play it, you feel like banging your head against the wall... compelling. The atmosphere changes with "You Fall Alone", a hypnotic piece... in which bars of only drums and voice often alternate with breaks where the band unleashes all its anger.. The next track is "Drop A Line"... and honestly, it is the only one that did not convince me.. in my opinion, the Initial Part is too reminiscent of a QOTSA piece (those who know them can think about it).. even though the track then develops in a totally different way.. It's time for "The Real Show"... continuous rhythm changes very well connected to each other, accompanied by a mighty voice and a noise made of electronics and a sharp guitar... a track that takes your breath away... where the band perhaps manages to give its best... The guys also show they appreciate more desert sounds through "3 Years Hold" a journey lasting over 10 minutes made of psychedelia and stoner.. an aperitif in the desert... The EP concludes with "I Didn't Mean It...It's A Crime"... another great riff in the style of "Fu" where the band expresses all its anger.
For being their first work, the judgment is certainly more than positive... it's a group that for the proposed music already seems mature, but which we hope in the future can distinguish itself more from the groups by which it has been influenced...
