THE REVIEW

After that little "bomb" that was the EP "Aesthetic," From First To Last are ready to take the big step and give birth to their first full-length, "Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has A Body Count" (the title isn't the best).

With this CD, the singer Sonny Moore joins the group, adding to the other singer and guitarist Matt Good, completing the lineup with bass, second guitar, and drums. This album represents one of the peaks of the recent hardcore/emocore scene: excluding "I Liked You Better Before When You Were Naked On The Internet", "Minuet, and Hidden Track" which only serve to add a touch of variety to the whole, you end up with an incredibly powerful and emotional album.

The essence of the album is this: rough and scratchy guitars, excellent vocals, and a "scream" that finally doesn't mean "whining," drums played flawlessly for a total of 11 tracks that make even a codfish want to scream out loud.

An obligatory purchase for fans of Hardcore, Emocore, and the like, but it deserves a listen from anyone who loves songs that make you want to jump around the room playing an imaginary guitar...
