If you're looking for good rap, you can dig into the years from 1993 to 1999, and you'll find the most beautiful "ROBA" you've ever heard.
Rap comes from America, but unfortunately, it was in the nineties that the States gave the worst of Hip Hop; it's a coincidence... just a coincidence.
But let's move on to the analysis of the album.
The album features many collabs, such as Neffa, Deda, Yoshi, Piotta, Chico md, Kaos, Joe Cassano, and Inoki.
You realize that the level here is raised significantly!!!
On the turntables, we have DJ Inesha who gifts us with perfect scratch techniques as in "Una minima" rapped by the good Fabri. In this track, you can hear the rhyme by Fabrizio Tarducci "..Fabri Fibra joint del peso netto di una libbra, non canto alla jam con te sai perché? porti sfiga!..." A line he often quotes at concerts.
The collab with Yoshi (today an enemy of Fibra) is in the track "Se non fumassi". It talks about DRUGS, SMOKE, JOINTS... really a topic that we're fed up with!! Perhaps some can't stand rap because of this: Women, Drugs.
But it's perhaps the only case in the album.
"Giorno e notte" is a song that features an engaging flow that enters the speakers and explodes every second more and more, reviving in us the love for this music. Inoki certainly doesn't miss delivering his exquisite rhymes and his metric intertwined like Petrarch: with embraced rhymes A,B and chained A,C,B,D.
Joe Cassano r.i.p. makes a great impression, his slang and stylish words mixed with the hyper-original voice make it all a Masterpiece.
"Street opera" also features a collab with a good MC: LORD BEAN, which I perhaps didn't mention before.
"L'incognita" sung by the now creator of soul music is a much more melodic track compared to the others, with a sweet base, a fast flow, and a chorus that brings back Funky notes.
And how can we forget "Cose preziose" by the MC/POET Kaos! A sad track and at times romantic, Kaos gives his best with his warm and hoarse voice, POETRY, I would define Kaos's music as poetry!
Naturally, there are also other tracks, but I consider these by far the best!
Rap is falling apart as time goes by, it's a shame... a real pity because albums like these don't come out anymore... a shame, a real shame.
"...Passi falsi fatti in dogmi silenziosi,
sono le nostre anime unite come in simbiosi..."
- Cose preziose - Kaos
