THE REVIEW

Praised by many as "the most violent film ever made," I approached this movie after studying it for a long time and reading all the reviews trying to get a basic idea, so I could "know how to handle it."

Entirely shot with a handheld camera, the film begins with a series of "fuck"s and shots that would make "Lucignolo" envious. This all happens in the first five minutes, and during this initial break, you start to inhale and exhale because you're about to face something that goes far beyond the limits.

The story is very simple, three psychopaths roam around torturing and sodomizing victims. All this for a good hour and ten minutes of film. Well, after all, if you're looking for a plot, you've chosen the wrong movie.

However, if you're in search of something really extreme, here is what suits you. Just to give you an idea of what you're about to face, I'll list some scenes: a man forced to cut off his own genitals, two girls forced to make out with each other while being showered with vomit from our three friends, people hung by their feet and gutted, etc...

The handheld camera gives the film that amateur footage feel that sets it apart and makes everything much more genuine, much like the presence of Vogel himself in the role of one of the three killers. Also noteworthy is the cameo by Killjoy, singer of Necrophagia.

What amazes me most is that people, after watching the film, come out with comments like "A senseless film, with no head or tail." Well, it doesn't seem to me that the film's purpose was to give a moral sense to the movie or a particular meaning. The film's intent is to shock the viewer, and I'd say it succeeds brilliantly.

I don't feel like giving any rating to the film, as it is one of those movies whose ratings can only be two: either the highest or the lowest. I prefer to abstain.

Recommended to all lovers of extreme horror who are eager to challenge themselves.
