“If You Must Be A Bear, Be A Grizzly.” An original title indeed, chosen by For Those Afraid for their debut EP. A mini collection that highlights the diverse musical tastes of each member, resulting in a mix of hard-rock/metalcore/hardcore with a pop-punk twist. I imagine it's not quite clear to you... Take the American pop-punk as a base, with its stop & go, highly melodic vocals, and similar features. Add rock-oriented guitar riffs, some breakdowns and challenging passages, and there you have it. The final result is definitely interesting, especially because, compared to the vast majority of bands in this genre, we are dealing with four musicians who want to stand out from the crowd, or at least they try.

They are not inventing anything new, to be clear, and it should be clear to the parties involved that five tracks are certainly not enough to guarantee their success, but the fact remains that “New Solution” and “Learn To Fly” manage to intrigue, which is no small feat. In the songwriting phase, some flaws still need to be ironed out – especially if they want to continue with such a wide range of action –, but we are sure that with the help of figures like Filippo Dall’Inferno (The Fire/Rezophonic) - whom we find here in the role of producer - they will reach full maturity. For now, a political six, awaiting further developments!
