Norwegian avant-garde black metal duo known for blending black metal with jazz, ambient and experimental elements; celebrated for the album Min Tid Skal Komme.

Formed in 1991; core members include Alexander Nordgaren and Svein Egil Hatlevik. Early demo 'Black Snow' and the album 'Min Tid Skal Komme' (recorded 1995) are frequently cited in reviews.

Two DeBaser reviews praise Fleurety's 1995-era avant-garde black metal, noting jazz and ambient elements, female vocals, and creative ambition. Min Tid Skal Komme is seen as a standout, challenging and atmospheric. The reviews rate the album positively (4/5).

For:Fans of avant-garde/experimental black metal, atmospheric and progressive metal listeners.

The avant-garde black metal of Fleurety is, first of all, background sly music (even if it will be difficult to ignore Alexander Nordgaren's unbearable shrieks), it encompasses many jazzy passages complete with fretless bass (uooooouuuww) with equally atmospheric passages where female voices appear à la Portishead, all interspersed with a bit of healthy black metal derivative of the experiences that the two probably had within the Inner Circle (mostly negative due to their uniqueness... treated as if they were black people, to put it simply).

A wonderful and fairy-tale-like album "Min Tid Skal Komme" is not, however, destined for a wide audience (fortunately) but for those who see music as a painful journey into the depths of the saddest thoughts.
