Dublin, Ireland 2006.
On June 19, 2006, "Bella Union Records" signed a new name in Irish songwriting. He is 23 years old and his name is Fionn Regan.
On August 7, 2006, the same label released the debut album of the young talent, "The End Of History". Official acoustic guitar, a deep yet light voice. A few strings and some winds. It is simple, immediate, and intimate. That's how his music is, a new hallmark of the songwriter made in Ireland. The depth and sensitivity of Paddy Casey combined with the grace of Damien Rice. An Irish troubadour, the classic melancholy where light acoustic/folk ballads are soaked.
A courageous work, nothing but the splendid beginning of a long journey. His skills are revealed from the very first track "Be Good Or Be Gone", in the enchanting "Hey Rabbit" and even in the carefree ballad "Put A Penny In The Slot" where his fragile voice joins the delightful voice of Laura Murphy.
An impressive initial work that promises a careful continuation.
“Making this record has been like building an ocean liner with a butter knife.”
