Punk has changed, it has evolved. Once, it was revolution and rebellion, but that time ended years ago. After the nineties revival, the genre became a commercial phenomenon, and nowadays, there are so many pop punk bands around that you can barely count them, making it increasingly difficult to tell them apart. Almost all of them have the same blink-182 style sound, talking about how much they suck and how sad they are because of a girl who doesn't care about them. These are all themes dear to us, but how do they address them? We're different, and everyone does it their own way, which is precisely why the bands differentiate; because while some get depressed and dig their own graves, there are also those who say "screw life" and drink enough to temporarily forget their own names, and that's always welcome. This is the case with FIDLAR, who, among drugs, drinks, and bad decisions, take us on a tour from their room to abandoned parking lots, and even to the shabbiest liquor stores in America. A pleasant journey into the minds of frustrated youth who only hope not to overdose again. Too late to die young, and too young to fade away.
