LA RECENSIONE

Is a different form enough to make a project sustainable without particular peaks of creativity? Perhaps not.
The minimal electronics that make up the tracks of this album are not enough to make it significant, because the form is no longer innovative now and inspiration is lacking for most of the record. The toxic lolita voice doesn't help to give substance to songs that don't have much to say either.
However, some tracks are saved by being just a bit more inspired, vaguely darker but certainly denser and deeper. It's something, but it's not enough.

Summary by Bot

This review argues that the minimal electronic style of Fever Ray’s Plunge album lacks innovation and overall inspiration. The vocal delivery is described as toxic lolita and fails to add substance. Though a few tracks show some depth and darkness, they are insufficient to elevate the album. Ultimately, the project feels unsustainable without creative peaks.
