THE REVIEW

On a hot summer day, tempted by new cerebral emotions, I went to my favorite music seller. I entered his charming store and asked:

Me: "Prog, prog, prog, prog... I want prog!
Seller: "How do you want it? Genesis style, Pink Floyd style...?"
"Me: "Well, I don't know. This time give it to me Italian, will you?"
Seller: "I see. But do you want it romantic, classic, melodic, space?"
Me: "Melodic?"
Seller: "Good, because I've just received a reissue CD from the Italian series BMG Ricordi, and it's very beautiful!"
Me: "What's it called?"
Seller: "Festa Mobile."
Me: "Festa Mobile? Never heard of it."
Seller: "Take it, you might like it."
Me: "Oh yes, and in the meantime, I'm spending 13 Euros!"
Seller: "If you want to hear good music, you have to take some risks! Don't be like the poor fools who think they know everything and know nothing."
Me: "Okay, you've convinced me! But how is it?"
Seller: "You know, I've known it for a long time, and I have to say it's not bad at all."

I went home and listened to this record. I started to gather information online and began to see and predict its past, present, and future: a very good past, a so-so present, and I won't speculate about the future!

"Diario Di Viaggio Della Festa Mobile" is a concept album dating back to 1973 by the anonymous band from Bari where an excellent catchy melody reigns accompanied by a beautiful voice. Great piano lines (double keyboard) and heavy guitar riffs in 31 minutes of pure cerebral music with jazz influences (only 5 songs). Dark atmospheres and soundscapes to suit those who want to mentally travel dreaming of an adventure made of wizards and distant lands. I wanted to give a full five to this product, but I was undecided by the lyrics which didn't seem that convincing (perhaps too imaginative for my taste). I would recommend it especially to piano enthusiasts (a must-buy) because you can hear it at great levels. It leaves you breathless!

For me, it was an excellent example of a blind purchase, indeed I must say a fine piece that I then included in my collection (story included).
