LA RECENSIONE

"Holland Park on the edges of magical yet chaotic and fascinating atmospheres of a distant Nordic city of the south, holds among thick veils of mist a Refuge that fears no intrusion for those fleeing from a crime and for those in search of a priceless paradise only as Daredevils are welcome at the Nirvana Motel..."

That's how this Roman band introduces itself, grappling with a healthy Italian rock'n'roll with haunting and dark atmospheres at times and powerful and sharp in other moments. Melody reigns supreme in this beautiful CD box set containing a dozen tracks; there are numerous ballads played with that "je ne sais quoi" reminiscent of Negrita and Ligabue in their approach, yet everything remains personal and crafted without "copycatting" the sacred monsters of the genre.

Surely Fenisia will be appreciated by hard-rock fans and young girls physically attracted to these young men in mascara and eyeliner; the photos inside the booklet then lay bare all their physicality!

In short, a consecration at the highest national level (or at least regional) was exactly what Fenisia deserved, if only for the compositional and performance skills of their music. To the wise, few words are needed..
