The galaxy of Italian prog is filled with incredible stories made by legendary and mythical characters: one of these is Alvaro Fella who, in the '70s, was the singer of Jumbo, one of the most interesting bands of the period. Now the great Alvaro Fella returns to the spotlight thanks to the Consorzio Acqua Potabile of the keyboardist Maurizio Venegoni. The CAP were actually formed in 1971 but managed to release their first album - "Nei gorghi del tempo" - only in 1993 thanks to the involvement of Kaliphonia by Raoul Caprio. The album in collaboration with Alvaro Fella is titled "Coraggio e mistero": from the very first track – the title track “Coraggio e mistero” – the voice of Alvaro Fella leads us on a journey back in time, unearthing emotions never forgotten: unforgettable tracks like “Suite del signor K” and “Miss Rand” return to memory. The music of CAP, influenced by the classic Italian prog of Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, becomes more powerful and rock thanks to the presence of a strong personality like that of the old Alvaro Fella. Fella manages to be captivating and brings a magical aura of magic as in “Io ti canto” where the singer, sumptuously accompanied by CAP, retraces the mythical period of the late '60s and early '70s when music, politics, libertarian ideals, and social denunciations mixed. But even the rest of the album manages to be engaging: CAP are magnificent, and “Coraggio e mistero” is perhaps, also due to the presence of Fella, one of their best works. Overall, we are witnessing a high-level performance that will delight fans of Italian prog.
