Perhaps someone knows him, but here nobody talks about him. On his third album since 2001..., FELIX LABAND, a producer from South Africa, released his most successful album in 2005: "Dark Days Exit" - Compost Records.
A brilliant and intelligent electronic, with simple, cheerful, radiant sounds, including a few sleepy and delicate young voices... in an album full of instruments and samples. A gay and optimistic, bouncing, effervescent album, a drumming music box, the carousel of the entire day. Overall fun but with a high tone, sometimes more carefree, other times more focused... but never banal, very catchy and never nauseating.
I don't know anyone who didn't like it, from the snobbiest dj/producer friend to the average Vasco Rossi girl... in short, a truly universal album that deserves to be known and to play in your homes. A few good and simple lines of review for an equally simple and healthy album. (samples on the label's website, go straight to the second track: "Miss TearDrop"). To You Magnificents... DeadCHON.
