In my opinion, Fear Factory has been one of those few bands that have used electronic inserts and a DJ's deck in a genre that had always despised the inclusion of such elements.
Demanufacture is an album made of cold songs (not always - e.g. "replica") with repetitive, surgical, and jaw-crushing riffs.
Burton's voice is increasingly angry and motivated. Dino increasingly massacres his ESP, Herrera destroys his drums with exorbitant and obsessive rhythms, and the bassist (I can't remember the name!!) rocks hard.
"Demanufacture is an explosive mix, ready to devastate your stereo speakers."
Tracks like 'Zero Signal,' 'Replica,' or 'New Breed,' where FF shout 'WE ARE THE FUTURE!!!' are anthology-worthy.
Burton Bell’s voice, which at first seems almost robotic but then explodes into a hard, devastating growl that leaves no room to breathe.
This record is among the best in the genre, and represents the peak of the band’s inspiration.
"He realizes there’s something different compared to the previous work. A devastating sound."
"Each song is a perfect blend of violent urbanity, corrosive and incisive riffs, powerful sound under a large melodic bell that sews the whole structure together."
