THE REVIEW

Surely nobody knows them... I didn't know them either, but now that I've gotten quite close to their sound, I believe I'm happy, satisfied, etc... .

Faxed Head are more continuous, more disturbing than the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, noisier than The Locust! In short, everything more. The cacophony is expressed in a natural and spontaneous way in "Uncomfortable But Free", many define them as psychedelic... But in my opinion, they are a band that has modified music, theoretically very extreme. Especially in the type of sound that ranges, in my opinion, from something inhuman to something more thought out, most of the songs are practically unlistenable, but there are beautiful songs that I like very much (Wyoming Hair, with a repetitive but truly furious guitar riff). Some people label them as Grindcore, but the band has revolutionized music. The only problem is that, as already mentioned, they are only known at Coalinga High School! Practically a small school near California. The band deserves a lot, just for the mere fact that it has brought to life what is most important in music! Transgression, but not the transgression where hair was green and pink, and so on, I'm talking about something inhuman. In my opinion, these are not from our planet. But from my point of view, they could have easily gone on Rock TV, because they chose to be an underground band, which "should" be a music made for a niche audience. People who have no friends, and if they do, are pissed off because they don't talk about music with anyone.

Regarding the music, the guitar riffs are quite well played, like the simple drums, and a bass that follows the guitar to give a little more power. But the standout piece is always the voice. That it would be worth shaking their hand just for their voice... Never heard more pissed off! Totally alien from any common music standard. It's said they play death metal, but it's not so. The album resembles a stoner album with noise influences and a grind voice. The atmospheres (that is, the music and ABOVE ALL the covers), as soon as they are seen, make you think of something esoteric, and indeed this last consideration should be taken seriously. If you analyze their music, you can also find something ironic, but if the band is not known then... Everything is taken seriously (House of Spirits, which you can hear on Myspace, can give you an idea of what I'm saying...). It's a band that deserves a lot, especially from the musical profile, there are truly noteworthy songs that you can hear on Myspace, particularly Don't Tourn out Like... in full black metal style.

Very complicated to understand, a little like an independent film. Sometimes they can appear gloomy and other times more jovial if you will!!!
