Fats Domino (Antoine Domino Jr.) was an American pianist, singer and songwriter from New Orleans, a cornerstone of rhythm & blues and early rock and roll. Known for his rolling boogie-woogie piano and warm vocals, he scored massive hits such as Blueberry Hill and Ain’t That a Shame and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986.

New Orleans–born rock & roll and R&B pioneer; renowned for Blueberry Hill, Ain’t That a Shame, and I’m Walkin’. During Hurricane Katrina he chose to stay in his New Orleans home and was later found safe.

A fiery, pro–New Orleans tribute that praises Fats Domino as a pillar of Black music and rock ’n’ roll. Centers on Hurricane Katrina, his refusal to leave the city, and relief that he was found safe. Strong admiration for Domino’s roots and resilience, with sharp political critique. One high-rated review.
