FAMILY BUSINESS - Family Weakness

Family Weakness is the new and debut album by Family Business, an acoustic duo on stage and a couple in everyday life, who have decided to embark on this adventure by releasing a record with 5 original songs and 2 covers.

In fact, the duo became famous thanks to a cover published on Facebook in September 2016, and from there the idea was born that led them to produce Family Weakness (thanks also to donations from a crowdfunding campaign on Music Raiser).

Family Weakness is a very interesting record, both for its sounds and the themes it addresses.

Regarding the first aspect, the album presents itself with a pop-folk style, essential yet very rhythmic and danceable, almost gypsy-like.

The highlights are the singer's voice, very full and enveloping, an acoustic guitar played impeccably, and the percussion that, although remaining in the background, makes everything more lively and cheerful.

Regarding the songs, however, the discussion is more complex.

All the lyrics are indeed tied by the same thread, namely the road and the obstacles it places before us.

The duo describes the album as follows:

"The album talks about life, love, dreams, and hopes. About roads to travel and obstacles to face. It's a sort of 'travel diary.' The main rule is the total absence of barriers, constraints, and limits both in terms of songwriting and in writing the lyrics.
