King for a Day... Fool for a Lifetime

I'm not here to give you an introduction to the band; we all know Faith No More. If someone doesn't know them... Well, that's their problem because I'm too lazy to write their entire history. But dear ignorant reader (in the sense that you ignore who Faith No More are), it doesn’t mean you should go back to the homepage and look for a review on Metallica, so you can give your opinion. The album in question is "King For A Day Fool For A Lifetime". The curiosity of the album lies in the musical structure of each track. Patton and the others decide to stuff everything with genres that are different from each other: imagine a sixteen-year-old punk girl (she believes she is punk, she's young and finds it cool that Vicious wore a chain around his neck) does that make her a punk? Well, maybe... Anyway, let's take this damn girl who one day wakes up and says: "Today I want to change, I want to wear a nice pair of heels, a nice blouse, and one of those necklaces that 40-year-olds wear, the white ones with huge pearls, you know which ones", she's different, she's changed.

Now try to imagine that the girl changes her outfit every day for 14 days, and voilà, you find a strange girl; let's pause for a moment on the concept we have of the word "strange": strange doesn't mean ugly, nor bad, strange means unusual, unusual means out of the ordinary, an extraordinary person is brilliant. Well yes, the brat is brilliant, brilliant because she always dresses differently, being brilliant doesn't mean inventing something... Now, let's transform those 14 days into 14 tracks all different from each other. We find the Hard ("The Gentle Art Of Making Enemies") ("Cuckoo For Caca"), then we find hysterical crises in rock’n’roll beats ("Get Out") ("What A Day"), there's also punk ("Digging The Grave"), soul ("Evidence"), and country ("Take This Bottle"). Did you see how many outfits these songs change?

All of this makes "King For A Day Fool For A Lifetime" an unusual album, so... Well done, you got the game.
